Presentation

Reporting to the Vice President Logistics and Value Chain, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating logistics operations to ensure continuous, efficient and optimal service. The challenge: to keep a close eye on our development and the growth it generates, in order to organize the appropriate logistics solutions in a highly dynamic context.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Manage logistics planning and optimize routes;
  • Manage the tendering process for transport-related contracts;
  • Supervise and ensure proper execution of agreements;
  • Manage relations and coordinate exchanges with service providers;
  • Collaborate with the legal department in the process of drafting calls for tender, conflict management and contractual interpretation;
  • Manage budgets and meet deadlines;
  • Plan the department's work and ensure deadlines are met to guarantee efficient execution;
  • Prepare and present activity reports, dashboards and performance reports;
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of information;
  • Actively participate in various special projects related to transportation by providing strategic analyses and recommendations;
  • Coach, train and direct team members to maximize their performance and commitment;
  • Supervise and evaluate employee performance, providing them with the tools they need to perform their tasks effectively;
  • Promote cooperation between team members and other company departments to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment;
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management or related field
  • 5 years' experience in the transportation field, including several years as a team manager;
  • Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS);
  • Advanced mastery and in-depth skills in Microsoft Excel;
  • The person we're looking for is known for his or her proactivity and sound judgment.
  • Bilingual (French/English);
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.

Who are we ? 

The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
