Job description
Reporting to the Data Director, the BI Developer Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. They collaborate with business teams to understand needs and deliver reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making.

Responsibilities and tasks
- Analyze business needs in collaboration with internal users.
- Design and develop BI solutions (reports, visualizations, dashboards).
- Participate in data modeling (relational and multidimensional models).
- Design and develop ETL processes to populate data repositories.
- Ensure data quality, integrity and security.
- Carry out technical and functional documentation.
- Provide technical support to users on BI tools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical processes and the evolution of the BI platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in computer science, business intelligence, software engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience with data warehouses or dimensional modeling (e.g. star model).
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
- Experience with the following ETL tools: SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, optimization, stored procedures).
- Advantage: knowledge of Python, R, or DAX/MDX.
- Excellent analytical, synthesis and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills, autonomy and rigor.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Ability to popularize technical concepts to non-specialists.

Who are we ?
The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
