Full job description 

Consignaction (QRCBA ) is looking for a "Solution Architect - Applications and Integrations" to join our Information Technology team. This team is responsible for identifying potential solutions and/or overseeing the development of solutions specific to our business model.

In this role, you will be involved in developing application business solutions and inter-system integrations. This role includes gathering requirements, evaluating possible options, designing solution architecture, guiding delivery teams to ensure the cohesion and quality of solutions, and transitioning them to business sectors and operations. 

As a member of the IT team, the architect will work closely with business sectors, business partners, technology suppliers, etc. 

Main tasks and responsibilities 

  • Participate in the pick-up of needs from different business sectors 
  • Identify technological solutions that can address business needs 
  • Ensure technological alignment with existing inter-system interoperability norms and standards; 
  • Participate in the development of principles governing the implementation, management and integration of services relating to application security; 
  • Participate in the development of deployment strategies; 
  • Validate the consistency and relevance of the solutions proposed by the supplier based on the project architecture; 
  • Participate in updating architectural deliverables (documentation, diagrams); 
  • Present architectural deliverables to the review committee as needed 

 

Training 

  • Holding an undergraduate degree in computer science or a relevant discipline is desirable; 

 

Experience and knowledge 

  • Have at least 10-15 years of experience in the field of information technology; 
  • Have at least 8 years of experience as a solution architect in the context of inter-system data management integrations (e.g. ERP, CRM, MES, BI, etc.); 
  • Significant knowledge of the Microsoft platform (Azure, O365, etc.); 
  • Knowledge of application development technologies; 
  • Technical knowledge related to integration concepts (API, ETL, JSON, Message queues, Synchronous/asynchronous, etc.); 
  • Knowledge in business process modeling; 
  • Expertise in transactional data management; 
  • Ability to apply pragmatic governance in projects; 
  • Have skills in summarizing and writing architectural documents; 
  • Have good listening skills and a good analytical mind; 
  • Be able to exercise good content leadership with colleagues and contributors; 
  • Be methodical and structured in the way you approach and solve problems; 
  • Have excellent team spirit; 
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
