Job description

Under the supervision of the Research, Development and Optimization Department Coordinator, the person in the position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of projects promoting the integration of social economy enterprises into the system of deposit-refund modernized. Its work is structured around three axes: the integration and retention of people with disabilities in employment, social entrepreneurship linked to the management of end-of-life returnable beverage containers, and reducing the effects of precariousness and social exclusion. It actively contributes to the creation of sustainable partnerships, the adaptation of internal practices, and the implementation of innovative initiatives aimed at reconciling environmental performance and social benefits.

 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, planning and monitoring of projects related to the social economy within the framework of the system of deposit-refund ;
  • Develop structuring partnerships with social economy enterprises and identify new opportunities for collaboration;
  • Contribute to initiatives promoting the socio-professional integration of people with disabilities or in precarious situations;
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the alignment of social, environmental and operational objectives;
  • Document practices, design reference tools and formulate recommendations to strengthen social inclusion in the value chain;
  • Monitor trends and best practices in the social economy, integration and social innovation;
  • Write reports, project reviews and monitoring documents;
  • Participate, as needed, in internal and external working committees;
  • And all other related tasks.

 

Training

  • University degree in regional development, social sciences, project management or a related field, ideally linked to social innovation or sustainable development, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

 

Skills sought

  • Relevant experience in managing projects related to the social economy, sustainable development or social and environmental initiatives;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to write reports, project reviews and interact with internal and external partners;
  • Ability to establish structuring partnerships with social economy enterprises and to identify new opportunities for collaboration;
  • Organizational skills, autonomy, initiative and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously;
  • Experience in a regulated environment (an asset).

 

Technical knowledge 

  • Knowledge of issues relating to the social economy, as well as social and environmental problems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.);
  • Fluency in spoken and written French, and good command of English;
  • Knowledge or understanding of the recovery program redeemable containers (training offered).

 

Interpersonal and professional skills

  • Very good listening skills, diplomacy and relationship management with various stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team;
  • Rigor in monitoring files and concern for the quality of the actions undertaken.
