Full job description 

Under the supervision of the Executive Advisor, Special Projects, and in close collaboration with the Project Coordinator, the Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the deposit system in remote areas. The Project Manager will carry out various studies and analyses, in order to optimize the solutions to be deployed.

The fields of expertise covered in this role are :

• Experience in waste management
• Research methodology and mastery of statistical data
• Experience in sustainable development and/or social innovations
• Experience in working with remote areas
• Implementation of ISÉ (information, awareness and education) programs

Main tasks and responsibilities 

• Contribute to the design and deployment of beverage container recovery programs in remote areas
• Manage theQBCRA relationshipQBCRA remote regions to ensure recovery activities outside urban centers; 
• Participate in research projects and write reports;
• Manage the implementation of recovery programs at retailers in remote areas;
• Ensure coordination between the various parties involved in a project; (equipment to be delivered)
• Follow-up with our external partners;

Training 

• Undergraduate degree in environment or related field;

Skills required

• 3 years' experience in project management;
• Present your findings using statistical data;
• Expertise in managing external partners;
• Proven experience in implementing solutions;
• Ability to summarize and draft documents;
• Speaks and writes in French and English;
• Comfortable working with Excel;
• Knowledge of Power BI (an asset)

Who we are

The Quebec Beverage Container Recovery Association (QBCRA)/Consignaction is the designated management organization (DMO) responsible for developing, implementing, financing, and managing the deposit-refund system based on the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling, and recovery of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
