Job description

Reporting to the Territory Supervisor, the person is responsible for activities related to the day-to-day management of the returns location, to ensure smooth operations. The role includes acting as the main point of contact for various operations, such as managing schedules, payroll, alarms, counter issues, customer feedback and other daily administrative tasks. This position combines management duties and responsibilities with returns and/or day-to-day advisor duties, without direct employee supervision.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Schedule management: Plan and adjust employee schedules on site, according to operational needs and availability;
  • Payroll management: Collect and validate payroll information for employees;
  • Alarm monitoring: Manage alarm systems and intervene in the event of problems or incidents on site;
  • Counter problems: Act as the point of contact for rapid resolution of any technical problems relating to counters or equipment;
  • Customer feedback management: Receive, process and respond to customer comments and concerns, to ensure quality service, and work with the Customer Service department for all citizen/retailer complaint and comment follow-ups;
  • Ensure operational compliance: Ensure that safety procedures and standards are respected at all times on site;
  • Communication and follow-up: Monitor daily activities, problems encountered and solutions found, and pass on any relevant information to the supervisor;
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma (SSD) or equivalent relevant experience ;
  • Mastery of the French language;
  • Ability to work in variable conditions (hot, cold, wet);
  • Ability to lift loads of at least 20kg;
  • Demonstrate adaptability.

Who are we ? 

The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
