Job description

Reporting to the IT Delivery Director, the Delivery Manager - Business Applications works closely with business units and external business partners to ensure the selection, operation, evolution, optimization and support of applications used in the company's business activities, in a multi-project context. As the guardian of application sustainability, he/she must listen to stakeholders and users to ensure optimal application usability.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop strong partnerships with business units and promote the use of applications to generate value throughout the company;
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes through the use of new or existing business applications;
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and the prioritization of initiatives to be implemented;
  • Provide expertise and advice to business units in support of their technology initiatives;
  • Produce internal project plans and manage project activities in collaboration with internal resources and external partners;
  • Plan and manage project activities to ensure successful delivery of business applications;
  • Actively contribute to every stage of projects to ensure compliance with budgets, deadlines and business application standards;
  • Ensure ongoing communication with all internal and external stakeholders to promote buy-in and the smooth running of projects;
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of quality controls;
  • Document project activities and business application releases in compliance with governance rules;
  • Work closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager to ensure optimal cohesion of business solutions and supporting technologies;
  • Work closely with IT customer service to pass on the knowledge needed to support users.
  • Any other related tasks.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in a similar position. Experience in an operations management environment.
  • Professionalism and ability to create constructive team energy.
  • Recognized for being an excellent relationship builder, a good communicator and for his ability to generate collaboration.
  • Analytical mind.
  • Thoroughness and organizational skills.
  • The desire to help simplify users' work.
  • Creative and in search of innovative solutions
  • Good command of the Office suite

Who are we ? 

The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
