Job description
Under the supervision of the Retail Manager, the Inspector works closely with retailers and the Retail Advisor. In charge of intervening with retailers who may be experiencing difficulties in implementing and understanding the deposit-refund system, as provided for in the Regulations.
The inspector is the primary link betweenQBCRA managementQBCRA the banners. He or she ensures fair and effective enforcement of regulatory requirements.
This position is strategic to the successful deployment of the modernized deposit-refund in Quebec.

Responsibilities and tasks
- Handle complaints communicated by the retailer Advisor;
- Visit retailers governed by the by-law to ensure its proper application;
- Support retailers in applying the regulations according to their status;
- Ensure respectful management of kiosks in accordance with the management agreement;
- Retailer inspection;
- Ensure compliance with regulations and obligations
- Meet retailers when necessary
- Produce visit reports;
- Prepare detailed reports on inspections carried out
- Staff training ;
- Training retailers in best practices
- Helping banners manage their kiosk
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements
- College diploma in administration or related field;
- Previous experience in a similar role in quality control or packaging process inspection;
- Proficiency in the use of data collection and documentation tools;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Understanding of the principles of continuous improvement and operations validation;
- Competence in using statistical tools to improve the packaging process;
- In-depth knowledge of the deposit-refund sector would be an asset, in particular of support functions such as logistics, maintenance and quality, in the context of packaging.
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Workplace: Hybrid mode, our offices are located in Saint-Laurent. The position requires frequent travel throughout Quebec.
Who are we ?
The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
