Job description
We're looking for someone who wants to work with a dynamic, creative and constantly evolving team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this person will have the opportunity to work in duo with a colleague, a Payroll and Benefits Technician. He/she will be primarily responsible for opening personnel files, assisting the technician in processing payroll and administering benefits for all the organization's personnel. In a hybrid work environment, she will actively contribute to the development of an employee-centered organizational culture.

Responsibilities and tasks
- Create and update employee files on all aspects of payroll, from earnings and taxable benefits to deductions and fringe benefits;
- Process payroll for Quebec employees (Nethris), ensuring complete verification of timesheets for each pay cycle;
- Enroll and modify all employees and answer their questions about benefits, including the simplified pension plan;
- Support finance with month-end accounting;
- Review and codify expense reports and expense accounts;
- Produce and transmit Records of Employment electronically;
- Respond accurately and courteously to requests from employees, managers and various partners;
- Produce attestations to confirm wage-loss insurance premiums paid to employees for tax purposes;
- Reconcile the status of employee time banks (vacation, holidays, illness, etc.);
- Complete all year-end documentation;
- Monitor overall compensation (payroll, group insurance and RRS) and ensure compliance with the rules governing it;
- Reconcile all accounts related to salaries, CNESST, vacation and time banks, RRS, group insurance, year-end benefits calculations;
- Support managers in any situation related to the compensation and/or application of bonuses for their staff, and ensure compliance with established parameters;
- Participate in the implementation of an integrated human resources system;
- Collaborate in the creation of various tools, policies and programs within the team;
- Any other related payroll or human resources tasks.
Requirements
- Training in accounting or a payroll-related field;
- Canadian Payroll Association certification (an asset).
- 1-2 years' relevant experience in payroll administration;
- Knowledge of Nethris (asset);
- Very good command of Excel;
- Proficiency in Power BI (an asset);
- Experience in a commercial environment with employees working variable hours;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to summarize;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Analytical, autonomous and operational;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to learn continuously, to work under pressure.

Who are we ?
The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
