Full job description
Under the supervision of the Director, IT Delivery, the Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting internal customers on a daily basis in their use of IT tools, primarily at return locations across the province.
The candidate will be required to travel frequently to return locations to provide support to operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Provide first-level support to users, in person, via telephone, or electronically, thus ensuring a first point of contact for their technical needs;
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems;
- Analyze user concerns, provide appropriate solutions and systematically record resolution steps in the service request management system;
- Perform installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software and operating systems at return locations;
- Ensure efficient management of equipment inventory;
- Monitor user queries and issues, record service requests and ensure they are resolved within agreed timeframes;
- Collaborate with external IT service providers to obtain software and licensing support, while managing these relationships appropriately;
- Maintain IT infrastructure documentation and operating procedures up to date;
- Check the prioritization of requests, establishing the order of importance of the requests to be processed;
- Monitor requests and incidents, ensuring detailed traceability and appropriate follow-up of all requests;
- Manage local and cloud-hosted files;
- Actively contribute to various projects related to the implementation, migration and integration of new systems;
- Ensure that you remain constantly informed of technological developments and relevant advances in the IT field;
- Any other related tasks.
Training
- Training in computer support; DEP, AEC or other
- A valid driver's license
Experience and knowledge
- 2 years' experience in the IT field.
- Customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools;
