Where to return your deposit-returnable beverage containers?
Quebec's network for recovering redeemable beverage containers is being modernized and transformed.
The network includes several hundred return sites locations across Quebec, including new Consignaction-branded sites dedicated solely to beverage container recovery.
Our interactive map below makes it easy to find where to return your containers, whether at a Consign return site or at a " retailer " near you.
Types of return sites
Consignaction
Boutique-style space
- Single-Unit Return
- Express Return bag drop unsorted beverage containers | This station requires the use of the Consignaction mobile app.
- Opening hours: every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Closed on January 1st, June 24th and December 25th. Reduced hours on January 2nd (1pm-7pm), 24th (8am-3pm), 26th (1pm-7pm) and December 31st (8am-3pm).
Consignaction
Boutique-style space
- Single-Unit Return
- Express Return bag drop unsorted beverage containers | This station requires the use of the Consignaction mobile app.
- Bulk Return : unsorted containers deposited in bulk
- Opening hours: every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Closed on January 1st, June 24th and December 25th. Reduced hours on January 2nd (1pm-7pm), 24th (8am-3pm), 26th (1pm-7pm) and December 31st (8am-3pm).
Zone Consignaction
At retailers selling redeemable beverage containers with a sales area greater than 375m2 (4,036ft2) and at regional return outlets
- Single-Unit Return
- Opening hours: generally according to the hours of the retailer
Consignaction mobile app
To receive a refund from the “ deposit-refund ” via a secure electronic channel, simply create a Consignaction account using the mobile app.
How to do it?
- Download the Consignaction mobile app (or visit app.consignaction.ca).
- Create your account. You will be assigned a unique QR code.
- At a Consign return site , scan your QR code or enter your phone number at the “Return to Unit” station, Express Return , or Bulk Return.
- Return your containers, and the refund amount will appear in your account.
- Transfer your balance to your bank account via electronic funds transfer.
