Respect for privacy and confidentiality is an important concern for the Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) (hereinafter " Consignaction ", " we ", " us " or " our "). For this reason, Consignaction implements effective control measures to protect the confidential nature of personal information in its custody.

  • Retention and security of personal information
    Retention – The personal information we hold about you is stored in an electronic file for the purpose of providing you with the services offered by Consignaction and complementary services.
    Security – We take and apply the necessary and appropriate security measures to ensure the confidentiality of the personal information in our possession and to protect it from loss, destruction, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, reproduction, use, and modification. The personal information contained in the files is therefore only accessible to individuals who need to know it in order to perform their duties and who consult it only when necessary.

  • Duration of retention of personal information
     We retain your personal information for as long as we have a legitimate need to do so. Even if you have ceased to do business with us, we will still need to retain certain information because, among other reasons, the law requires it. When this information is no longer needed, it is destroyed. As part of the information destruction process, we follow strict rules and also ensure that unauthorized persons cannot access it.
