Job description
The CFO, under the supervision of the Vice President Finance, is responsible for the financial management and supervision of the company's accounting operations. He/she ensures the integrity and reliability of financial information, while guaranteeing value for money and compliance with legal obligations. He also manages his team to ensure effective collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities and main tasks
- Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements to provide accurate and relevant information to management.
- Directs and supervises the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with transaction deadlines and quality.
- Draw up and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with the various departments.
- Oversee the semi-annual and year-end financial closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Rigorously monitor monthly sales tax remittances and ensure compliance.
- Carry out and supervise various financial analyses to optimize management and decision-making.
- Prepare and supervise cost price analyses for the various business units to ensure optimum profitability.
- Ensure effective monitoring of capital expenditures to respect allocated budgets.
- Plan the department's work and ensure deadlines are met to guarantee efficient execution of financial tasks.
- Establish and maintain the internal controls necessary to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information.
- Actively participate in various special projects by providing strategic analysis and recommendations.
- Coach, train and direct team members to maximize their performance and commitment.
- Supervise and evaluate employee performance, providing them with the tools they need to perform their tasks effectively.
- Promote cooperation between team members and other company departments to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment.
Requirements
- University degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Professional title (CPA, CFA, or other)
- Significant experience in financial management and accounting.
- Excellent analytical skills and mastery of financial tools.
- Experience in team management and ability to motivate and coach staff.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Who are we ?
The Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association (QBCRA) is the designated management organization (DMO) for the development, implementation, financing and management of the deposit-refund system, which has been modernized according to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle. It brings together the various beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
