A new return sites network takes shape 

As part of the modernization of the deposit-refund system, Consignaction has begun setting up a new beverage container recovery network that will include at least 1,500 return sites throughout Quebec. By the end of 2026, this network will include up to 400 return sites identified under the Consignaction banner.

As of March^1, 2025, when Phase 2 is launched, new glass and plastic container formats will be recovered, as well as a new material: multi-layer cardboard. return sites Consignaction will be able to handle the anticipated large volumes of beverage containers, as the number of units subject to deposit-refund increases from 2.5 billion to 5 billion.
