As of October 26, residents of the Limoilou and St-Roch districts of Quebec City and Victoriaville will be able to return wine bottles, water bottles, juice and milk cartons, spirits bottles as well as refundable/returnable containers beer and soft drink to new drop-off sites in their locality as part of a pilot project to modernize deposit-refund.

The facilities aim to test new container recovery models in order to design an expanded and modernized deposit-refund system to be rolled out across Quebec by the end of 2023.

This project is the initiative of the Association québécoise de récupération des contenants de boissons (AQRCB), which brings together the various associations involved in the recovery, recycling, reuse and reclamation of beverage containers in the province of Quebec.
